Carotid Ultrasound

Carotid artery ultrasound: A simple painless test looking for blockages in the carotid arteries, which supply blood to the brain. An ultrasound probe is used over the neck region. This test generally takes less than 45 minutes to complete. Patients do not need to fast for this test.
